How to Unlock Your iPhone by IMEI
A factory unlock (also called a carrier unlock or IMEI unlock) removes the network lock from your iPhone so it works with any SIM card. The unlock is registered against your phone's IMEI number, so it is permanent and survives iOS updates and restores. You do not need to jailbreak the phone or install any software.
Step 1: Find your iPhone's IMEI number
- Dial *#06# on the iPhone keypad, or
- Go to Settings > General > About and scroll down to IMEI.
Copy the 15-digit number exactly. If your iPhone has two IMEIs (eSIM models), use the first one unless told otherwise.
Step 2: Check which carrier your iPhone is locked to
The correct unlock service depends on the original carrier (for example AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Vodafone or EE). If you are not sure, order an IMEI carrier check first so you pick the right service and do not waste money.
Step 3: Choose your service and place the order
Create a free account, add funds, then pick the matching service from our service list. Enter your IMEI and submit. Each service shows its expected delivery time.
Step 4: Wait for the confirmation
You can follow the order status in your account. When the unlock is complete you will receive a confirmation.
Step 5: Insert a new SIM card
Connect to Wi-Fi, insert a SIM card from any network and restart the iPhone. If you see a "SIM not supported" message, back up the phone and restore it with iTunes or Finder, then insert the new SIM again.
Before you order
- Double-check the IMEI. Orders submitted with a wrong IMEI cannot be reversed.
- Make sure you pick the service for the correct carrier and country.
- A carrier unlock does not remove an iCloud / Activation Lock.
